Market Outlook:

Another rangebound movement day, Dow ended positive above 8000. Nifty is facing selling pressure at higher levels and the trading range seems to be narrowing even more.

* US Jobless claims highest in 26 years , The number of Americans who applied for unemployment benefits for the first time tops 600,000. Continuing claims set record high.

* Stimulus Plan uncertain : A bipartisan group of senators sounded less optimistic after ending a second meeting on the economic stimulus bill.

* Rusal, the world's biggest aluminum producer, announced deep production cuts Thursday, saying that the aluminum markets has suffered "a rapid deterioration".

* Satyam Board appoints A S Murthy , an insider as CEO.

* Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is to unveil the Obama administration's "comprehensive plan" to revitalize the financial markets.

* Bank of America stock hits a nearly 20-year low, Fears loom that the struggling bank may be nationalized.

* There is no end yet to the global financial crisis, the IMF said in its latest report released Thursday.

* India's Inflation slips to 5.07%, Government to present interim Budget on Feb 16.
